Reebok has always been a brand that mastered the art of minimalist heat. Ignoring the louder models like the Instapump or Iverson signatures, we see a deep collection of some of the most low key hits in sneaker history. (mehr …)
The catalogue of oldies within adidas Originals is so vast that it seems endless. From underrated basketball shoes to loud-and-proud runners, you’ve got something for just about every palette. But, the adidas New York is slightly different. It represents what was so right about 1980s sneaker design, but you’ll very rarely see it on the streets.
After their first successful event last year in Berlin, Sneakerness – the biggest sneaker convention besides Crepe City – returned last weekend to the capital city of Germany. This time it took part at the STATION Berlin, a prominent venue because of fashion week which is twice every year. It’s obvious that you can buy a lot of sneakers, limited apparel and accessories in every price range but there were also a lot of specials. For instance you could clean up your dirty shoes at the Crep Protect or Sneaker Cleaner booth. On the other side you could take care for yourself and relax at the Overkill x Reebok booth where you could grab some free drinks and get a massage which was the jackpot of the coconut-crap-game.
The guys of the Identify Tattoo Studio, Hilversum Netherlands, had some cool designs of sneaker tattoos. Hikmet Sugoer, former owner of Solebox, had also his own booth with some clothes of his latest brand ‚Sonra‘. He even did a raffle for his Sonra Proto Pumpkin – of course every pair was sold. Buns & Sons took care of the guests physical well-being and offered their tasty Pulled Pork-Burgers which matched perfect with the Paulaner Spezi!
Thank you for all passin‘ by and the Sneakerness crew for the perfect organisation!

See ya in Cologne!
It turns out that adidas knows how to crush the shoe game with something other than Primeknit. The company’s motto, for as long as most of us can remember, has been to bring successes from the past and give them some modern inspiration. The Climacool 02.17 does that and then some.
